Pond as seen from the streambed. You can see only a bit of the golden meadow which is 35 acres of community pasture. Just beyond that, at the base of the hill in the distance, is the scenic Illinois River.  In summer the canoers and rafters are fun to watch.  It is a short walk to the river, pebble beach and flat rock.  From flat rock you can launch your own canoe or raft. Please note the golden meadow is lush green in spring and summer! Below is a larger glimpse of it from our property line.

Below is another view of the pond...

And yet another pond view from our property line... It looks larger in real life.  The hill or "mountain" in the background is 15,000 acres of nature preserve which cna never be built up. That borders Sparrow Hawk Village's entire northern line. The Village itself consists of 440 acres.
