GREAT HOME-SCHOOLING LINKS

We wish there were some more specifically Asatru or Heathen homeschooling sites, but there just aren't yet. If you know of any, PLEASE inform us. In the meantime tell us about any pagan parenting or pagan children's sites that you know. We need as many resources for earth-loving families as we can get, so please share what you've found.

Also, please feel free to share any inspiring stories or articles along these same themes.  We would love to post your work here.  Send them to Sitekeeper.

SCOOTS, named after the man who inspired and pressed us to embark on this mission, stands for Sigrdrifa Curriculum Offering Original Teaching System. This is a curriculum project focusing on the basics of learning and adding to it studies focusing both on current issues and cultures as well as historical events. One thing to note about this project is it will benefit all parents, not just homeschooling ones — because the information provided will allow parents to round out their children’s education from public and private schools as well.

To find out your State's Homeschool Laws, go to the HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Aid) site. I wouldn't recommend JOINING their christian right organization, but DO utilize their thorough compilation of each State's Homeschool Laws.

A multitude of fabulous pagan coloring books by Eliza Fegley are up on sacredspiral.com at: http://www.sacredspiralkids.com  These easily printable pictures are a must see. Adults and teenagers love to use them for meditational coloring and magickal workings.

Also on SacredSpiral.com is alot of valuable pagan information, craft ideas and patterns, holiday and festival articles and a discussion list to join.  Nicely done.

Don't forget to go to yahoogroups.com and check out their discussion lists for pagan homeschoolers and pagan parents.
