Lesson 3
Correspondences

Read Chapter 3 of Donald Tyson’s book, Power of the Word, formerly titled, Tetragrammaton.

The author’s relationship between the elements and Tetragrammaton is not the same correspondence the Mystery School generally uses. This is how we see it, and some others as well:

YOD – Air.
HEH1 – Water.
VAV – Fire.
HEH2 – Earth.

The difference here is in the Yod and the Vav, as I’m sure you’ve noticed. We see Yod as being Air, intellectual and psychological, the God-Mind that”thought up” creation. We see Vav as active and creative fire, which set creation into motion, since Yeshua was the embodiment of Vav and was also called the Logos. The Logos is the creative fire, and so we see Vav as being fiery instead of airy. In truth, Yod and Vav both share these aspects, just as the two Hehs share aspects. But our human minds must see things linearly for the most part, and so it is important to define the way things correspond to the elements without mixing them up.

But, since things aren’t truly as linear as all that, the truth is that both we and the author of the book are correct. Both Yod and Vav are airy AND fiery. But we see Vav as the more fiery of the two, and Yod as the more airy.
